Produced in Historic St Augustine Florida

Only one of a few producers of Black Garlic in the United States and the originator of Black Garlic Vinegar.  I have tried to remain faithful to traditional methods while using modern techniques.

Eating Food and growing it too

Picture
I really enjoy food. I love to eat it, I love to cook it. I love to grow it. My goal is simple, I want my Black Garlic to exceed your expectations. When I'm not  practicing the Black Garlic Art,  I am co-creating with nature to build an Edible Forest Garden.

"How we garden reflects our world view. When we see the world as a collection of independent and isolated elements, it is difficult, if not impossible, for us to grasp the interconnectedness of our natural systems." Dave Jacke   Interested? See his Website:
http://www.edibleforestgardens.com/                                                    "But gardening represents a much wider spectrum of human activity than war, and if war is an act of the state, gardening is far, far more ancient than city-states.  Can it be the antithesis of war, or a cure for social ills, or an act of healing the divisions of the world? When you tend your tomatoes, are you producing more than tomatoes? How much more? Is peace a crop, or justice? "

In my family,  without high standards,  you fell.

My summers were a little different than most. The Silver Condors! The only act featuring High Wire, Trapeze and Double Sway poles. I took this photo, but our last two years put me on the trapeze, rings and the right sway pole where I replaced my father whose back was an issue but who continued on the wire. When your father is German and you travel the United States, Canada and Cuba, you taste a wide variety of foods. When you lose your mother at an early age, you learn how to cook. After my Mama's Spagetti sauce, Chef Boyardee just didn't get it.  Don't get me wrong, Dad's Hasenpfeffer and  potato salad was good, but ...   So, off on an adventure of 50 years.  It has been fun and  infected my three children too. They all love to cook!

In sports, I continued to raise the bar.

And I wasn't against making changes to improve. Shortly after vaulting over the State Record by 1/2" (This Photo), I started wearing shoes.
